Friction Professor Roger Lewis announced as railway engineering 2019 Research Chair by Royal Academy of Engineering

The Royal Academy of Engineering has announced a new Research Chair to be led by Professor Roger Lewis sponsored by RSSB. This will focus on wheel-rail interaction and particularly low adhesion at the wheel-rail interface caused by weather and environmental factors on the line.
